Michael, Didn't you replace the reflector?
If you don't replace the reflector you WILL be blinding all oncoming traffic. The DOT approved reflector that is on the GTS is required to reflect a certain percentage of light up for the purpose of illuminating road signs but not so much as to blind others. If you increase to output of your lights by 3x without correcting the beam pattern, you will be illegal. However, if for any reason you wanted to go back to a halogen light, it'd be a snap b/c the HID light kit simply plugs into the 3 electrical leads that plug into the back of your old halogen bulb. There's no cutting of anything ... and the only thing that gets removed is your old halogen bulb. It's really simple. However, once you experienced the difference, you'll never go back. It's a universal motorcycle kit . . . you need only specify a "shielded" or "unshielded" bulb. (Since we have a single bulb motorcycle, at least all US and Canada GTS riders, you'd specify the shielded bulb. Note: some European GTSer's have dual bulbs . . . just like the GTS on display at the Guggenheim (sp) show in Vegas . . ., so they could get one shielded and one unshielded.) Bob, I'd love to go to Death Valley (I love the desert) but I'm trying to finish an addition that I started on my house over a year ago . . . so I'll be working every weekend (my goal is to get it done before July). Maybe long distance rider Dave Biasotti can light the way for you guys! (I'll see everyone at Laguna Seca this year though!!!) -----Original Message----- From: Automatic digest processor [SMTP:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 07, 2002 9:02 PM To: Recipients of GTS-1000 digests Subject: GTS-1000 Digest - 6 Jan 2002 to 7 Jan 2002 (#2002-8) Date: Mon, 7 Jan 2002 10:56:59 -0800 From: "Rev. Thanks again to Dave Biasotti! Mike; Maybe you and Dave could make it to Death Valley and show a bunch of us the installation. It sure sounds great. Bob
