The Valentine is the most popular brand with the LDRiders group by far. One
way to mount it on the GTS is to use their remote box, which is very small,
and hide the main unit somewhere on the bike. I have my Valentine mounted
inside the Give Top case and the remote mounted into a custom dash panel
with my StreetPilot III. I haven't notice any reduction in range or
sensitivity with the unit surrounded by PVC. It protects it well from the
weather, which is the weakness of the Valentine. The Valentine was selected
by Car and Driver for more than the best range. It also tells you which
direction the signal is coming from, its strength and type of radar, and
will tell you if you are receiving multiple hits. Knowing this makes a big
difference in how you react.

I had an Iowa State trooper follow way behind me for 50 miles one time,
sending out a single bing every few minutes. With the Valentine I knew he
was back their and was able to slowly pull away between the bings and moving
in and out of traffic. After 50 miles, and being unable to lock onto me, he
got frustrated and finally pulled me over. He admitted during the 50 miles
of following me he couldn't get a reading, even though he knew I was
speeding, and simply asked me to slow down.....:>)))) Of course I have
other stories where the trooper in Louisiana wasn't as honest and I spent a
weekend in prison...but that is another story....::>)))))))
