Ergonomics differ from person to person and with the miles that John
accumulates on his GTS, he MUST be comfortable! His dislike for the
Heli-bars is well documented and not to be disregarded. I, on the other
had, love my Heli-bars. They fit me perfectly. I traveled over 9,000 miles
in 21 days a couple of years back and the trip would have been very
difficult with the stock bars. To each his own, but for me the Heli's work
great.
Now, Mr. Mototune, what wonderful solution are you working on? If it's a
good product, you are welcome to market it under my name like Mr. Laurenson
does with his HawkOiler. You could call it Hawki-bars or something like
that!?!?! :^)

John speaks!.....................

The Heli-bar design for the GTS sucks....worse than sucks, they are
potentially debilitating. The first mod I made to my GTS was to add
Helibars. They worked very well for me on my FJ's. The design used for the
GTS is horrible. They simply pivot the bars and increase the angle to move
the hand grip back a little. It can cause me a similar negative effect to
my hands and wrists as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Your hands do not sit in a
relaxed position when you grip the bars. To get the feel of what I am
talking about pretend your are gripping a parallel bar in front of your and
twist your hands like you are bending the bar ends down. Now imagine is you
are putting part of your body weight on your arms in that position for
hours. Riding for a few hours you might not feel the effects, but ride all
day and you will.
