Since the HU is designed not to interfere with normal braking action
when it has even the slightest problem & it doesn't  actually have
anything to do with keeping or holding in the hydraulic pressure ( it
releases pressure).

It's my understanding that the HU contains a pump & replaces the
pressure it releases.  Otherwise very quickly you'd have the brake lever
against the grip & no brakes at all until you released & reapplied the
lever.

Thanks for the warning but I'll go on testing mine.  I'd rather dump the
bike on a deserted road than find out it quit when I'm in a panic
situation.

Keep us in the loop on your ABS findings.  By the way, I've found
Naproxin sodium (aleve) works better for me than Ibuprofin.
