There is a drawing on my site if you have IE5 or greater. It is a power
point drawing a customer made up that shows how to wire up heated hand
grips with a relay. I use one from hella that is water proof. You might
be able to run louder horns also through the same relay.

I originally tapped directly into the main circuit comming out of the
ignition switch, no relay (brown wire-red stripe, I think).  Check your
wiring diagram, it's the main wire going to the fuses.  I've just
installed a relay so I can power other accessories too, without worrying
about disrupting something with the current drop.  I mounted the relay
directly behind the battery under the ABS computer, fit's just right.  I
also went to a marine supply store and bought a lighted switch for the
grips, makes them easier to use at night.  I also recommend using an
in-line fuse, just in case.
