I originally tapped directly into the main circuit comming out of the ignition switch, no relay (brown wire-red stripe, I think). Check your wiring diagram, it's the main wire going to the fuses. I've just installed a relay so I can power other accessories too, without worrying about disrupting something with the current drop. I mounted the relay directly behind the battery under the ABS computer, fit's just right. I also went to a marine supply store and bought a lighted switch for the grips, makes them easier to use at night. I also recommend using an in-line fuse, just in case.
Here's at least one source for Kimpex grip heaters that's cheaper than RiderWearhouse: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/azmotorsports/kimgripheatk.html -Derek [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Maggiacomo" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, March 04, 2002 11:48 PM Subject: Re: Bar Ends / grip warmers > I own a pair not yet installed.
