Just a quick thanks to all on the list for their help -- I've been the proud owner of a GTS with Side-Bike Mega Comete sidecar for about 3 weeks now, and you've helped a great deal.
I followed the recommendations to make a jumper to place the bike into test mode and the problem ended up being a missing "fall detection switch" which the previous owner had removed when he put on the sidecar. (I love it when built in diagnostics work correctly!) Also following the group's recommendation I ordered the part from Zanotti and paid $43 instead $71 at the local dealer. Thanks again.
