Stock Exhaust or Right Side Exhaust

Hello, 
 
Does anyone know what a stock exhaust is worth (only the big "silencer"
part) mine is a Vance/Hines that I�m trying to make a bit quieter.
 
I�ve also seen set ups where they put the exhaust on the left-hand side
of the bike � any ideas on how to do that?  
 
Why you ask � I�ve got a sidecar and am trying to decease the noise my
kids are exposed to.
