Actually, the helmet holder is the peg on the inside under the seat, just to the right of the key.... looking again at those slots underneath, I can't imagine how a helmet strap could be long enough to reach up under there, then it would be resting on the fender or the pipe....... Anyway, I tried probing through those slotted holes w/ a screwdriver, I could make contact w/ the latch mechanism, but couldn't quite trip it. I'm sure that w/ the correct device and patience it can be done, whether it's pushing on the bar towards the center of the seat, or getting under one of the latches to 'push' it open. At any rate, it's a struggle because the whole problem is that the seat fits too tightly, which is why the key won't turn in the first place (and I'm definitely using the correct key).
