Wow....I thought I spent too much time in front of the computer Brandon!!!
I recently did mine and used the R1 K&N filter (YA-1098) and it fit great. You only have to cut it across its width and you'll have a few inches left over. The molded rubber ends stay intact. The pictures on the link that have been posted obviously show a different filter where you have to literally cut the filter out of the new K&N. I was the one who wrote about throwing them in the freezer. Works great! GWN Daren
