That's an interesting observation. My recollection is that I did not switch to synthetic until over 5000 miles --I just checked the records: I changed to synthetic at 6650--miles on the clock--RSRBob's suggestion as I recall. It seems to me that he indicated that the Yami rings took a while to seat and using dino oil a bit longer than 5K would be a good idea. Regards, Henry S.
