I haven't timed it. I set it about midway on the yellow wedge
indicator; had a heck of a mess, turned it down to slightly below the
small end of the wedge i.e. essentially off. I used 2.5 of the small
resevoirs in 2900 miles (Scott says 300 per). One day is enough to make
a mess out of the bike (500-1000M). Since I got it to reduce
maintenance I haven't achieved my goal. With a couple of thousand on
the new chain & sprockets I've had to adjust it once already, so
adjustment interval isn't longer. I don't know if I'd get longer life
with it, but I got more than 20K without it, which is about 2 years with
all I get to ride. & with the mess on the back of the bike the "I'll
wash it later, let's ride" is pretty much gone. So I was spending more
time washing & less time riding than before I got it.

Sounds like you like your's. If you want another, email me

How long does it take for your wheel to get that dirty? Mine gets dirty
too, and the oil is in all of the places you mention, but it cleans up
pretty quickly with a few shots of S100. I use the touring tank, so its
more difficult to tell how long it takes to get the wheel really dirty.
OTOH, perhaps you're simply running too rich. I have mine set so that
it drops a drop on the outside of the chain in about the same spot as
you, but every 2 minutes. If I set it to every minute, like the Brits
recommend, and I'd be lubing the entire bike, not just the chain. I
could probably slow it down to every 3 or 4 minutes and suffer no
problems, come to think of it.
