Small out of the way towns.... Im thinking of Kremmling. Just northwest of denver by about 2hrs. North of Frisco, on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park. ....
Or we could look up one of the hundreds of natural hotsprings resorts in southwestern colorado. I know down in pagosa springs (5-7 hours from denver), there is a small hotel The Springs Inn www.pagosaspringsresort.com (which just expanded to about 100-200 rooms) - June would be prime season...but they have about 12 (10-12 people) hotsprings hottubs. They sit on the bank of a river which runs right through the town. It is one hour east of Durango. Two hours to Mesa Verde. And your hotel keys allows 24 hour access to the hottubs. The landscape in southern colorado is wonderful, rolling valleys and passes. Pagosa springs has plenty of small bars and diners in and around town. Short ride to Telluride, TheSwiss Alps of colorado.--Hit Eure(sp) for the million dollar highway. Just some thoughts. THOR
