This Gathering of the tribe sounds like it will be quite fun. I have never BBQed for 80 people before...I dont think Ive ever had that many people in my house before!...I guess I should brew some beer soon!
Im thinking of a 5gal batch of Dark Lager over the winter time, and maybe a lighter amber for the summertime...is 10 gallons of beer enough for 80 people? I feel like Im about to become an army cook....20 cows, 15 bags of potatos... I keep racking my brain for a hotel for everyone. There is a Marriott right off of I-70 west (Denver West BLVD) right before the mountains. (the last really nice hotel before the climb west) I believe that would have everything we would need, ample parking, large lobby, hottubs, restaurants, bar, large confrence rooms. Plus it is a stone throw to the interstate. Might be a little more $$, but I bet if you called for group rates...80 people could get a better deal. I will look forward to seeing everyone. If everyone would like shirts, I can design them and check on production pricing. I know a few contacts around town. But before that happens, I need absolute confirmation on EVENT name, DATES, and the number of requested shirts....I think we could get them for around $8-$10 a piece for a two color shirt.(guesstimate) Who is the "official figure-head" of this event?--They make final decisions.
