Stretching the old memory. ABS was standard in the US but I seem to
remember being told by the YAMAHA guy at the demo rides in Charlotte
that it was optional in some countries. [snip] The only other ABS
bikes at the time ('93) were a few models of BMW, where I think it
was also optional.

Yamaha FJ1200
Honda ST1100
plus the aforementioned BMWs
That's my memory. Anything else ABS back then?
