Which protective enchantments? Applied how?

Shape Earth - add a mix of other elements to the wall such as metals to increase the cost of casting? Or maybe have a wooden inner wall so you need to be proficient with more than one element to get through the wall, ie make them cast more spells to get through.

Create Door / Teleport - use Teleport Shield, 50 pts/yard

Glass Wall - Scryguard, or just have all the outer rooms be nothing of interest, such as store rooms or kitchens, and all rooms of importance, such as private studies or meeting rooms will be in a midst of the castle surrounded by 'controlled access' rooms. I guest doesn't get put in the room next to the Duke's study.

naturally all the walls will have Watchdog cast on the walls them, so anybody passing through them will be detected, and have the guards heading that way to deliver a whole lot of pain!
