Unless the ship uses some sort of reaction drive while in the bubble, this is a moot point: SOP is for the ship to sit at rest in the center of the bubble, and to achieve pseudo-velocity by directly moving the bubble relative to the rest of normal space. Also, the bubble is constantly being generated by the ship; I have trouble seeing it as anything but a highly unstable field that would collapse the moment the ship stops maintaining it.
