The problem with that is skill creep. How many skills to become a 
halfway competent belter, or scrounger, or damage control crewman?

Another question, how do you draw the line between water, a gas 
giant at 100 atmospheres, Earth surface conditions, a world like
Mars, and the Moon? Three skills, why not five or six?

Unless the atmosphere reacts with the explosion products (or even
the explosive before or during the explosion).

Just like air pressure, gravity could cause fragments and debris
to fly a much longer distance.
