I am using 3E as basis, but i use many houserules, so i might use rules from other editions as basis.

My reasoning for the 3 skills is that we already have Demolition and Underwater Demolition as skills, and propably Vaccuum Demolition would be different in the same way from Demolition, only going in the other direction.

My reasoning for not using different skills for different gravity, was that i assume gravity effects on how far debris flies would basically mean to change the unsafe zone according to a relativly easy formula (though i don't know what exactly the formula would be).

Given Demolition and Underwater Demolition do default on each other with -2, and i would use the same for Vaccuum Demolition so i don't fear skill creep too much.

Some other enviroments might require their own skills in theory, but for instance i can't think of any reason to do demolition on a gas giant in a Traveller background. And even if you find one situation, to make it a skill it should happen somewhat regulary.

Sure explosives might react to athmospheres and thus athmospheric conditions restrict your choice of explosives. But i would consider it part of the demolition skill, to be able to pick a charge that works in the enviroment, or at least know where to lookup what explosive to use there.

As someone else has already mentioned, Demolition skill is more about knowing where to place the charges but about actually placing them, so propably the person, who actually places them must roll against Vaccsuit, but i would not restrict the Demolition skill by it.
