Hello Tim,

a 4mm very long barreled grav gun does 33d(5) with APSHD, which
may not be enough to penetrate TL13 powered armor. I don't have
the suit yet, but my TL12 design had DR 500 laminate. Could be
close for the anti-infantry role. Besides, the "suggestion"
for barrel length would make it 1.5 metres, awkward on a small
vehicle.

For pure point defense, perhaps a 4mm medium. 24d(5) damage,
23 lbs. EWt, 0.8 metres length.

0.0021 lbs. per APSHD round, plus 0.000033 lbs. for the power
cell. Compare that to 0.061 lbs. for a smallish x-ray laser.

On the other hand, lasers can be recharged from a power plant.

I'm still not sure if the grav vehicles should be supersonic or
not. If so, the gun would have to be mounted 'concealed' if you
go by the Vehicles rules. GURPS Traveller seems to have relaxed
this rule a bit, but that is no universal dispensation.

And finally there is Acc to consider, which might matter with
the HT76 rule for walking the burst. It doesn't say if Acc is
capped at skill for this purpose, but that would be the
consistent answer.

The beehive grenade probably works better with the 4E rules
than the 3E rules, considering the new RoF format.

Regards,
Onno
