Hello everybody,

some of you mentioned mobile standoff mines for a 3e TL13
force. Any suggestions how much damage such a system could
do?

My estimate is that battlesuits are DR 750 while AFVs are
DR 4,000 or more, and vehicles carry point defense. The
point defense means you need many missiles, while the
armor means you need big missiles. So networked standoff
mines are not the ultimate weapon -- merely one tool in
the kit.

As mentioned, I'm thinking about vehicles one might find
left behind in an abandoned Space Marine base, because
bringing them home was too much of a bother, not those
first-line AFVs mentioned above. The 'soft' variants of my
draft vehicles are DR 125 to 160 armor under a DR 500
force screen.

How much DR do I need for 'semi-hardened' vehicles like a
contragrav successor to the M9 ACE?

How does the ACE (or the British CET) compare to an armored
D9? The D9 is roughly three times the weight, but how does
the armor compare to a real tank? The civilian D9 is almost
as heavy as the armored variant.

Right now I'm thinking of a relatively lightweight unit,

And how do I split it between the front, the belly, and all
other facings? I could probably afford DR 4,000 in front,
at the expense of the rest.

Regards,
Onno
