Is a helicopter a harder target than a suit? It is faster and farther away, but also larger and perhaps less likely to dodge. > I haven't started on the TL10 suit yet, but itwill probably be > a lighter version of the battle dress on p.GT118, with > built-in weapons. I'm working on the TL10 transport. One option is a hovercraft APC. A steel or laminate box, with a fusion reactor, air intakes on top and a skirt on the underside. Rear and side hatches allow the suits to step over the deflated skirts. With a bit more power, such a contraption can fly without the skirt. At TL10, the extra power is easily possible. Where can the fans go? It could still be like the picture of an AV-4 or AV-6 from Cyberpunk, with engines along the lower sides and the cabin on top, or with two large-diameter fans high on the side like the helicopters from Avatar. Exit would be through side doors. The Aerodyne-style flyer might be able to fast-talk the GM into having some redundancy, an ability to fly on five out of six or three out of four engines. The Avatar-style flyer will be gone if one out of two fans fails. Is a flyer more vulnerable than a hovercraft? The flyer would use more power, but the hovercraft blows up dust.
