Crusade, not the original series. It had enough room to play
basketball.

Vehicles allocates 100 cf for a bunk. Call it 7' by 2.5' by 2'
for the bunk itself, 35 cf. Another 10 cf for a locker. Stack
them three or four high, with a 3' corridor between two rows of
bunks, and that takes another 27 cf per bunk. One toilet and
one sink for every twenty bunks or so, maybe 5 cf per bunk.
That leaves 23 cf.

There could be a mess hall for part of the crew, eating in
shifts.

People would take ships around the Cape to California.

The problem are vehicles with a maintenance interval of less
than 24 hours, but no on-board maintenance. Would a jet with
5 hours maintenance interval be unable to fly for 6 hours?
