I should be in bed sleeping, but was nagged to locate the dimensions between
gun ports and size of gun ports themselves, but couldn't find it all too
quickly. One thing I did find as a "footnote" was the value of a "measure"
called "Loads of wood". Any time you spot a description saying that a ship
took X numbers of loads, you have the choice of either multiplying that
value by 50 cubic feet (Merchant's measure) or 40 cubic feet (builder's
measure). Since you can estimate the density of oak in general (you'll have
to take an average I'm afraid), you should be able to get a general mass of
the ship as an estimate.

I'll keep looking into the book until I find that reference. I'm half
afraid that the table that I'm looking for isn't in the book on English
warship building, but in another book on Danish ship building. Arrrgh!

I'll also see what I can dig up on the various weights of ship's guns
themselves. What Kills me is that the book I purchased many a year back by
Sir Douglas in the mid 1800's is no longer to be found in my house. I pray
I didn't lend it to a friend of mine who has since died.

Ah well, the bed calls...
