Hello everybody,

I was just wondering ... modern fighter aircraft have a single pilot (F-22, F-35, Typhoon) while the West still clings to four-man crews in MBTs (Abrams, Leo, Challenger). The GURPS rules seriously penalize characters who are trying to do several things at once, like piloting a vehicle, firing weapons, or operating sensors.

How would you characterize the software of a TL8 fighter in the 3E rules, and how does that compare to a tank?

* Genius minicomputer (C3) or microframe (C4).
* C2 routine vehicle ops with skill 12 as 'autopilot' and C2 damage control.
* C2 computer navigation and C1 datalink.
* C4 gunner or merely C3-4 targeting?
* An electronics operation (sensor) skill program would require a robot brain or neural net. We're not there yet, right?

Regards,
Onno
