I would say that you wouldn't. Consider how easy it is to mess up driving a car when traffic gets messy, with just a fairly straight and smooth road to worry about. I would *guess* that with sufficient automation and information processing support you'd want a drive and a commander/gunner. The biggest aid would likely be a system that could properly aim and lay a tank gun after someone selects a target, making it more like a self-guided missile system.
