Basically the book sense goes into a sleep mode instead of completely
powering off I believe due to the fact the Book Sense monitors the clock in
order to wake up for alarm events. Since the stream has no clock it's
probably completely powered off and it's battery then would drain much more
slowly than the book sense's does. Raul can you confirm what I'm saying
here as I am just guessing as to why the book sense drains faster than the
stream does.

I thought GW Micro indicated that the BS had a separate non-replaceable
battery which runs the clock?

As you indicate, however, even without the clock, rechargeable batteries
will lose their charge.

If the stream doesn't report a change in it's battery level when left over
time, then it is because its measuring method is not sufficient to catch the

change. All, I repeat all rechargeable batteries loose charge over time.
The fact that the clock is always running in the booksense would mean the
battery would discharge faster over time than the stream where there is no
clock using power when the unit is turned off, but to prevent the discharge
of the Sense's battery over time when the unit is not in use is physically
impossible until someone invents an entirely new type of battery. If the
sense gave up the clock, and the ability to set and maintain alarms, then
the battery would discharge more slowly, but over time, it would discharge.

i know. somehow the stream has it set so when it is turnned back on the
battery level doesn't change. any way of making the booksense work like
that. sorry for going off topic a bit but had to to show an example of this.
