As has been stated in this discussion, rechargeable batteries run down. There's no escaping that. Just keept track of your battery level and you won't have a problem.
I've had a cell phone battery run down on me while on the road. Who's fault was that? Certainly not the manufacturer of the cell phone. It was mine for not charging the battery. Same principle applies here. As Raul said, it happens with cell phones and netbooks among other devices. Keep track of the battery level and you won't have a problem.
