Hi Darren, Technically, the Smalltalk is not a specialist device, as it is basically Window-Eyes on an XP Tablet machine, namely the OQO Q1+. All of the OQO machines I have had so far though, have been extremely unreliable, have little battery life, and don't have much to commend them.

The small thumb keyboard is so ridiculously small that it is barely usable for real typing. For browsing yes. Obviously, it depends on what one wants to do but my main concerns are weight and the smaller the screen the better (either for no use or depending on the situation only 10 degrees of vision so smaller really is better), and typing ability. I have a braille connect 12 that I would use with the small talk ultra probably for typing but my braille speed does not even come close to my touch typing on a qwerty.
