Hi:

I must say I am having this issue as well but if I wait for a minute
Window-Eyes comes back up.

Using XP Pro, 1GB of RAM, and the latest updates.

Using Speak Out on com1 and it usually occurrs in Office 2003.

Yes, moving quickly between windows or doing rapid cutting and pasting
to compose emails with quoted text seems to close the speech down for a
considerable time. Sometimes it comes back, others I have to close w-e
and restart it.

using w-e 7.11, XP Pro, and Dolhin external sythesiser.

In my case, with xp pro and version 7.11 of win eyes, on one computer,
speech starts ok, on the other speech does not start. Both start up
options are the same. However, I can gain speech by windows d or m.
Also, I can lose speech as I move too quickly from one operation to
another.
Exiting from one and trying to start another too quick. In this case, I
need to reboot.
In some cases, if I wait, speech will come back.
Just adding to the my thoughts
