Hi, I found the solution, and it wasn't maximizing the window for the
manual, etc. because the problem was also Internet Explorer 8, but a
suggestion, helped, and that this seems to happen when I am running
Magic Jack, which I also have, and while it is plugged in,
Window-Eyes will not work with Internet Explorer 8 or, even read it's
own manual. If I unplug Magic Jack, all seems to be as it should be,
or as it is with Window-Eyes. I sure wonder ... why now? when this
didn't happen before at all, not a glimmer, what has changed, why,
who did the changing, Window-Eyes or the MJ software which runs their
dongle, or whatever that device is called, and why now perversely
affect Window-Eyes in such a strange area.
All other suggestions did nothing, and I did go so far as
re-installing Window-Eyes.
I truly thank the person making the suggestion, greatly, now the
question arises, what do I do now, compromise the use of my long
distance calls for my screen reader, or only make long distance calls
when I am not planning to use the web with my screen reader.
Anyone at GW-Micro have a magic jack and willing to plug in and test,
it's just $20 for a year of free long distance, unlimited, $20 for
the device and $19.95 for the service, so to update the service is
just $19.95 per year.

and of course, make sure the window for the manual is maximized; this does
make a big difference, and if you were counting on some macro to do this for
you before, maybe it's not being done now.

Hi.
Remember a couple days ago I said that Window-Eyes stops speaking with IE
and my only solution was, after trying many others, was to re-install
Window-Eyes? I did, and guess what, no cigar, in fact, Window-Eyes will not
speak it's own manual after f6 is pressed. I arrow to anywhere in the table
of contents, press enter to select it, then press f6 and nothing at all. I
must press alt-f4 to unload that "browser" window and even then Window-Eyes
does not speak. No scripts are loaded, in fact the default 6 are all that is
left from my initial install of my brand new copy of Window-Eyes. Now, what
do I do? FireFox is my browser, not so much of choice is that it is the only
one that will work with Window-Eyes, but this business of f6 not reading the
WE manual is strange.
I would appreciate any suggestions, so until I can use IE again with
Window-Eyes, I must use jfw 11 because it works fine.
I wonder why?
