Magic jack is a great product, no vip solution as quite as good as a
real phone yet, but considering I get free ld to call anywhere in us
or canada or alaska for about $20 a year, it's worth it, but if you
are going to run magic jack, put it on another machine your not working on.
That's a good candidate for those junky netbooks, run magic jack on
them, or that old pentium, put it in the basement and let it babysit
magic jack.
The only trouble I ever had with magic jack was before I upgraded the
software, it wouldn't work on some of my machines, but as is the case
much of the time, upgrading the software fixed the problem.
Now that guy who did magic jack is making all the cell phone folks
mad, they're suing him whining about people using their cell phones
for a wireless connection to magic jack, people are so jelous, they
can't stand it when someone comes up with an idea to make money,
if it's not them, and especially if they're not being greedy and
charging the earth for a good service.
When I first got magic jack, I used to get disconnected every so
often, but wseems like lately that's not been happening.
Another thing, the control panel for magic jack is completely
accessible, try that with some of these other router based options or
proprietary hardware devices.
So as long as you have an extra machine, magic jack gets my vote for
the most bang for the buck.

I've got the perfect solution but it won't be popular with the originator of

expression, ":you get what you pay for." It applies here.
Just my opinion.
