Fine, Kevin!
Yes, I do know of Teamviewer. And, true enough, they can fix things on your computer, even if you have Window-Eyes running. BUT!

Have you ever tried to go the other way around? So that you fix things on their computer? See, that is where there is a lack. I haven't seen any software around, that I have been able to do things on a remote computer. OK, that might be, because I am not aware of a given software, or how to use it. So if anyone could educate me, I am happy about that.

Hi:
Our company uses a remote support software package called Teamviewer
which is accessible with Window-eyes. I work from home and, if I need
to have a support person look into my computer, I can do this by just
going to our Teamviewer website and giving the tech guys a special
number which appears on my screen so that theye can take over my
machine and do what they need to do.

I agree with this. If the competition can do this then why can't gwmicro.
It get's costly to half to send computers to you guys all the time for
problems that can be worked out remotely now a days.
Take care

i know hope this can be inplimented in window-eyes at some point so that
costs won't be an issue and support staff can solve problems more easily.

That would be a nice feature for Window-Eyes to have.
The competition has it already, and while Window-Eyes is my
screen-reader of choice, I have seen this demonstrated--and it works
very well.

what would be good for window-eyes would be a remote feature that would
allow tech support to remote into other people's boxes to fix the issues
instead of having to ship pcs to gwmicro. what do you guys think about
that?
