Have you considered trying something like Winzip?  Works every time, and you can keep on using the "evaluation" version forever.

Well, I've just now tried opening the .zip file by just pressing Enter, and, while I was able to see the list of files in the .zip, I was unable to hit Enter  to open any of them.  Generally I was asked to allow the web search to find a program for opening that file, and one of them even spoke to me, saying that I was not authorized to read this file.

I have Windows XP sp3, and was experimenting with Windows Explorer to get the above results.

Just hit enter on the zip file archive and windows will open up the archive for you.  If you are using a Victor Reader stream, use the humanware companion program, as it makes transfering talking books easier, unzips the archives and places the folders where they belong for you.  I suppose the booksense may also have similar features for extracting talking books.

When getting the NLS books online you have to unzip them.  Can anyone recommend a good program that works with W-E?
Thanks
