While I see where you are coming from -- in your shoes I might feel the 
same -- for me,, at least, about the only thing that WE7.2 doesn't work 
well with are IE and Firefox hence, brose/msaa.
So, to me, this is the major shortcoming in We at the moment and the one, 
from my perspective, the fix is overdue.
For others, as yourself, I can appreciate why you feel the way you do.

I still hold to the view, despite what anyone might say, is that the 
reason it isn't fixed is that either they just cannot (understandable) 
or it requires just too much work on their part (not my problem, but 
theirs).
No company should make their problem mine, and if I accepted the latter 
explanation, that is what I would be saying.
On the other hand, personally, I'd gladly pay an extra $100 or so right 
now to have this thing fixed as I work with browsers all day long.

It's just a matter of perspective -- no right or wrong answer.
