Mike, I agree with you.

Jim and all who say that browser support is going to be put out when
IE 8 is out and HTML five is finalized, I want you to take note that
it is very unlikely that HTML is going to undertake many major changes
in under a month or two or three, as it has been in the works for a
long time now. If GWMicro was waiting for HTML 5 to come out so that
they can do it right, then I would semi-understand. However, it has
been somewhere around three years since GWmicro has said that they
were going to revamp browse mode, and it's been longer than that since
users have been complaining about issues with it. This was all before
HTML five was even dreamed of. If I, the user, have to wait for
GWmicro to come up with some update that they've said they were going
to put out for about three years now and the only thing holding it
back is HTML five, then this doesn't seem like a good reason to me.
Besides, I wouldn't go so far as to say that they're noble enough to
care what costs they passed onto the user. They're charging now for
this upgrade that essentially adds JAWS features that were added in
the last three versions of JAWS. The more and more I look at their
guess what emails, the more I listen to podcasts, the more I feel that
Window-Eyes is now JAWS with the Window-Eyes name. Ask for help, new
UI changes,
