Well they wouldn't need to recommend just one brand.  I would think  try WE on 
 different brands.  Just a thought.  Besides it would help when buying a new 
machine.

The problem with recommending one brand over another is that new computer 
models come out every few weeks. One make and model of a PC which might blow 
the competition away in terms of stability and feature set one day may only 
last for a few months. After that, the next iteration could be a complete 
disaster. I know I personally have switched computer brands depending on 
varying circumstances at the times I needed to replace a machine. One thing 
which helps the majority of the time is to re-image any OEM computer you 
purchase with a fresh, unmodified copy of Windows. The other participants in 
this thread have mentioned the pre-installed junk which comes with these 
machines. Not once have I ever seen any benefit from having this cruft around, 
and often times this third-party software will severely impact the machine's 
stability. Completely wiping the hard drive and starting from a fresh copy of 
Windows along with any required hardware drivers will drastically improve your 
overall PC experience. The brand and model of our workstations is therefore not 
relevant as they have all had the fresh Windows treatment and work very well 
for us.
