A nice sentiment, but not really good business as far as getting a return on
the investment on the part of GW.

My circumstances are similar to yours - having made my first Window-eyes
Purchase in 1989. I remember the event particularly clearly, as I was visited
the NFB convention from New Zealand and Dan delivered my purchase to me at the
GW booth.

There are already good things happening for loyal users: I do like the software
maintenance approach, and I also appreciate that Window-Eyes prices have
remained relatively stable over the nearly 21 years of my ownership of
Window-eyes.

It is attractively priced relative to its main competitor, and the
requirement/choice to purchase upgrades is made relatively easy as new releases
are relatively few, are easy to install, and when a purchase is required, the
spend is well worth it.

What I would like to see, as an alternative suggestion, is a rewards club,
where discounts are available to all club members - perhaps we pay a fee for
product discounts, priority shipping etc. Administering such a scheme has its
problems, and GW needs to stay focused on developing good assistive software
that people will wish to continue to by.

As an international customer - I would prefer better international support,
because loyalty is worth something. Valuing long time user loyalty is
important, so great for starting the new discussion thread.

Vaughan.

Subject: WE Upgrades

Sometime later this month I will have been a GW software user for 15 years.
Suspect that there are not many users longer than that.
I have been a loyal user of GW products and have purchased all original
software and upgrades from my own resources.
I believe that for long-term users of the product we sould be offered upgrades
free of charge as I believe that I have probably spent several times the cost
of the original software over the years.
What do other long-term users think?
Cheers
Andrea
