The problem is that there's no satisfying everyone. for example, I liked
having the dedicated link before or after setting because to me it
allowed me to hear things in what I consider to be a logical order.
I don't care about most controls. But I prefer to hear link first
because links can be long and I know it's a link immediately.
conversely, if I set the one size fits all setting that way then my
brain is saying, no no no! when I hear, button save, button continue,
button play, etc. instead of save button, continue button, and play
button. I don't ever recall telling someone to hit the button X to do
something.
I also prefer to hear heading first for the same reason as link.
but I don't really care about edit boxes, combo-boxes, and lists because
there's usually not that much information in the label.

Tom

Hi, this is as it should be. After all a hyper link is a html control just
like a edit box etc.
So how come headings don't follow this rule. I mean I still here heading 1
text blah blah
Verces text blah blah heading 1.
Also how come speech user don't have as much control over what they here as
the braille users have over what they feel.
Another question is how come button names are treated as data verces names.
For example you have the save as dialog. You tab to the save button. The
phone rings it is your mom you spend some time with your mom talking. Been
doing this a lot here lately as my mom is about to get hitched. Anyway you
come back to the computer and you need to refresh your self where you are.so
you issue the feeld name command. Window-eyes beeps. So you issue the data
or summery command.
Speaking of the speak summery command is there some reason the control type
is not provided?
Don't get me wrong I think the guys at gw micro are doing a wonderful job.
These are just a few questions I ask my self at times.
We won't even talk about keyboard layouts. I have givin up on that one
smile.

Hi, this is now controlled by the regular verbosity setting. Go to
verbosity, then Focused. The options is called speak window types.
Choose before or after data, depending on which preference you want.

I remember that there is a way to get WE to say link before the
hyper-text. Now I cannot find where to make the change.
I find that the hotkey insert R does not work all the time. A new
hotkey to go directly to non-visited links will be helpful for sites I
have visited most of the links.
Thanks.

The links dialog of the verbosity section is same as it's been.
Couldn't you just turn off the option to read visited links and Oh
wait I think I see what you're saying. So you want Window-Eyes to
skip over the links that you have Artie visited, correct? Could you
use the previous position hotkey, insert r?

Hi all, can I revert to window-eyes saying links before the
hyper-text just like before?
Where can I make the adjustment.
Also, can GW-micro consider adding non-visited links as a new
hotkey for browse mode.
This will be very useful for sites where one has visited most of
the links.
Thanks.
