Hi Everyone:

How I wish I were an expert; then I won't have to ask too many questions.
Anyway, this one requires a long-winded explanation to drive the point home
somewhat.

I have three copies of Window-Eyes in use at work--7.2 on the computer that
acts as server for the network at work; 8.54.1 (yes, I think that's what it is
!!!) at my work desk and 8.2 at the front desk which is the cash register at
work. So, let's start with the front desk:

With NumLock turned off, when I press insert-Plus on the numPad to route the
cursor I hear "Focus cursor routed to mouse cursor". When I press the Plus key
on the NumPad by itself I hear "Focus cursor.

Question: What is the focus cursor?

On the computers in the back office, when I perform the same exact functions, I
hear "Cursor routed to mouse pointer".

Question: At what point did the "focus cursor" replaced the more familiar
cursor?

It's important that I get help sorting this out. Why? On the Web Portal where
I enter claims for adjudication, when a record is selected, I would route the
cursor to the mouse pointer.

When I route the cursor to the mouse pointer, Window-Eyes used to read:
"Pointer routed to element". I then use the number 4 and 6 keys on the NumPad
to read the associated record number under the cursor. This enables me to
verify that the correct record has been selected. Next, I use the simulated
left mouse key to CLICK the highlighted element so it gets selected; I then tab
several times to get to the COPY button which I activate with either the
<enter> key or the spacebar.

When the selected record opens, I am able to work on it.

But now with this new "focus cursor", I can't do what I used to do anymore.

Question: Is there a way to revert back to what it used to be?

Sincerely,
Olusegun
