The problem with using this as a basis for complaints about the new app is
the complete ignorance, whether intentional or not, of what has already been
said by someone from GW Micro about how their development process works. The
team working on continuing development of Window Eyes itself and the team
working on apps are made up of different people with different skill sets.
Whining about this app coming out before the next update to Window Eyes is
akin to whining to Microsoft because a new version of MS Office comes out
before the next service pack for Windows 8 is rleased or complaining that
the new X Box is coming out before the next Surface tablet. Different teams
made up of different people with different skills and knowledge.
The release of this app neither speeds up nor slows down the work on the
next Window eyes update. I have no interest in this app as I don't do
Facebook, but for those that do and want more than what they get with the
mobile app, great for them. Since the app development team is obviously
paying attention to the input they got from the user survey, I am curious to
find out what the next items on the list will be. As I said quite a while
back when there was discussion going on about possibilities for apps that
require too much in the way of time and resources for them to be provided
for free, I think a paid model like this is the best way to go instead of
them bundling these apps with Window Eyes and forcing those with no use for
them to pay a share of the support and development costs in the form of
price increases to Window Eyes.

Window-eyes would be coming out addressing many bugs and known
instability issues that myself and others have been dealing with for
some time now. Instead I'm faced with yet another GW product which I

blindly worship at the alter if you like, but I'll have no part of it.
And trust me, when they have, and hopefully some day will, really improve
their Window Eyes software and it really is better than what's out now, I
