Vaughan,

I'm not sure what you are referring to with the random duplication order. I can assure you that SMA orders took precedence over upgrade orders and in fact I already stated that a couple times on the list. All SMA CDs were created first followed by those that upgraded.

The CD duplication process doesn't start before the release, in fact we purposefully waited to make sure there were no problems and such. So it doesn't start for about a week after the announcement.

But I am not following why having the full CD is critical. Window-Eyes 9.0 was announced January 12th. That is 3 weeks and 2 days from today. All SMA and upgrade CDs have been mailed. The upgrade was downloadable to those that were eligible immediately upon the 9.0 announcement. Nobody that was using 8.x was blocked from using 9.0 until they received the CD. Is it just the principle of the thing that you feel the CD should be in your hands the day of or the next day after it was released more than the true necessity of needing the CD? I'm trying to find out what ramifications receiving the CD say 3 to 4 weeks after the announcement has.

Olsegun and others: when I last raised this, I was advised that the process of
disk duplication is random - in other words - it doesn't care whether customers
have SMAs or not. Then factor in the postal system which is no longer truly
the Pony Express as ponies can't swim.

I did take up the advice posted to the list yesterday of emailing my serial
number to AI Squared, for generation of the full v9 executable as an
individualised download.

I do regard this as AI being helpful, but believe it could be advanced into an
automatic web based download similar in approach to the upgrade file.

V9 was released on 12 January, so presumably, the disk creation process began a
day or two ahead of the release announcements.

Best.

Vaughan.

I placed my order on the eighteenth of December. And as of yesterday, I
hadn't received my copy.

Not to worry either; it's been over a week, perhaps even a bit more than
that--I haven't received my CD copy of Window-Eyes9 yet. And no, I don't
have a current SMA, so I paid full upgrade price at $175 plus $10 for
shipping!

Vaughn, if it helps, I live here in the United States! Overseas or not,
sounds like we're in the same boat ... Sorry, shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip!

Sincerely,
