I cannot provide a specific reason for the SenseNote family, but I can say that, when it comes to notetakers, it is generally a bad idea to open a file, remove the storage device from where the file was loaded, then close the file; it can cause problems. On a regular PC it is not such a big deal, but it seems that Windows CE does not like it when this happens for some reason.
