Yes, and that's your problem. On a pc, notetaker or whatever, if you
open a file on a removable media such as a cf card, thumb drive, etc.,
you should never ever remove that device until you've close the file on
it. Programs open files and also expect to be able to close the file
properly regardless of whether it's read-only. If you remove the media
before closing the file you've opened on it, the results are
unpredictable, but most probably going to be very bad.

I cannot provide a specific reason for the SenseNote family, but I can say
that, when it comes to notetakers, it is generally a bad idea to open a
file, remove the storage device from where the file was loaded, then close
the file; it can cause problems. On a regular PC it is not such a big deal,
but it seems that Windows CE does not like it when this happens for some
reason.
Have a great day,

Subject: [GWN] Word processing document issue
Hi:
I had something odd happen.
I loaded a file from a thumb drive, then removed the drive as I was only
reading the file not making corrections. I loaded a second file from my cf
card, when I left the first file it asked if I wanted to save the file and
I
said no since I didn't have the thumb drive at hand. I worked on the file
from the cf drive for a bit then tried to switch back to the other file
but
it told me that the format was unfamiliar or something like that and it
wouldn't access the file. When I plugged the drive back in it overwrote
the
original file on the thumb drive with the one from the cf drive. Needless
to
say I wasn't impressed. Any reason why this should happen. The file didn't
suddenly change formats while I was working on another one surely?
Thanks
Tessa
