Nope; I have a backup so no harm, no foul. I may try deleting the
"mailinfo.txt" file and letting the BSP regenerate it and see what happens.

I recently upgraded my BSP-Q using the online method. The same thing
happened to my email folders. The folders appeared but my system crashed
when I tried to open them. And I don't think it has anything to do with
the number or size of messages 'cause I didn't have close to what you had.
I even tried to delete those folders and copy them back from the back-up
I'd made before upgrading. Unfortunately, that didn't work whether I
copied the whole folders or just the email messages. The only thing I
found so far that works is to delete those folders and start over.
Fortunately for me, I still have a copy of the messages I need on my hard
drive so I guess I'll have to email them back to myself. I hope you can
find a way to get your stuff back and/or you didn't lose anything
important.

Greetings, everyone.
I just upgraded to the new firmware (offline method) without difficulty.
However, the email program will not read messages from a folder of saved
messages that the previous version of the email program read without
difficulty. When I hit Space-F3 and arrow to the folder and hit ENTER,
the BS Plus says it's opening the folder and the system crashes with the
error sound. A warm reset gets me back in business. Did HIMS place some
new limits on number or length of messages in folders?
I like many of the new features in this firmware update but I hate it
when things that worked previously go belly-up. There are 639 messages in
the folder, some of which have attachments.
