So, try sewing on your new machine with Gutermann, and
if your machine sews poorly with it, even with
different needles & such, try the recommended brand
and see if it's an improvement.
Good advice. Sewing machines seem prosaic, but they're really quite
precise power tools; they have to have good engineering to handle such a
thin thing (thread). Sounds like some of the supercilious repair
people need to remember it's science, not black magic!
