Can you get more specific about where to find this article? I get to the site, but when I put in "microphotography", it has nothing.

It's probably Mettler Metrosene polyester thread, or perhaps Mölnlycke polyester thread. This is the first time, though, that I've heard bad things about Gütermann thread.
