Hi,

I'm wondering about buying a book from these series, I'll be most interested in
the 17th century and the 14th and 15th. Other periods are ok, but these three
are my main interest right now.

I'm not looking for a fashion theory itself, but for something practical, like
advice on making, recreating etc. A sort of books that are very helpful to me
are books with instructions or patterns for the re-creating the costume (The
medieval tailor's assistant, The tudor tailor, Frances Grimble's books, Janet
Arnold,...).

These book series seem to have two parts: one is theory, one is praxis. But
I've seen no examples (excerpts), no "index", almost no reviews.

Do you think these books might be a help if I'm looking for info of
middle/lower class costume and am an advanced sewer? Or is it a waste of money?
Any other books recommended?

Thanks,

Zuzana
