Hi guys and gals, I'm new to the community and just recently came across Habari myself (by word of mouth,) but I was talking to ringmaster (not sure of real name to IRC translation yet) earlier and shared a idea I had for spreading the word. The breakdown is a very simple one; take the group of developers currently in place, come up with a group written article, and submit it to php|architect. I was talking with one of the wonderful people from php|a earlier and she had made mention that nobody's ever gotten together a "community" written article for them. ringmaster made mention that this had been done before, for a q&a, but what I'm speaking about would be a technical introduction introducing theme writing, plugin writing, and a basic understanding of the Habari core system. The basic idea is let the PMC or some other body chose the layout of the article and delegate it's parts to various members based on knowledge of the specific section and availability. It would give everyone the opportunity to say that they had a strong part in the article, expose Habari more to the base of php developers out there, and so forth. It's an idea and I'll be awaiting the slight chuckling or potential flaming I'll get.
