It's definitely not standard.  The HL7 ping's MSH looks like:

MSH^PING^domain^PING^interface name^today's [EMAIL PROTECTED]

example:
MSH^PING^MY-DOMAIN.COM^PING^ZZ9999^May 04, [EMAIL PROTECTED]:59:24
